Do Acne Products Work?

By: Robert Kokoska

How many of us have been awake to see the late night infomercials on acne medications that are supposed to have been developed by some brilliant doctor selling for $39.95.

Many people opt for the expensive over the counter acne products and medications. This choice seems to work best for them and they are patient and when they see results they are happy and if not they are open to other forms of acne treatment.

Watching those late night infomercials with the before and after photo shots and tearful testimonials are very convincing. I mean some of these products are reasonable while some are not but it is worth a try for people who have been plagued sometimes for years with this unsightly and uncomfortable skin condition.

What you need to know is that the majority of over-the-counter acne products simply deal with the external problem of acne. They kill the bacteria on your face and they help with the healing. This means that they will never cure you, but will only help to "manage" your acne condition.

I remember using creams for years, somehow believing that it was doing "something" to my acne but when I think back I don't think it did anything at all. I was being led to believe that I would have to use this product for years spending literally hundreds of dollars until my acne finally went away on it's own, as it does for most people after puberty.

Keeping your face clean however, is good hygiene and will minimize your acne. What you need to know is that acne is generally an internal problem. It means that there is something out of balance inside your body and if corrected, can lead to a complete cure.

If you are going to use expensive lotions on your face, you should also consider the other side of your acne problem and consider giving your insides a good clean out. Doing this can help control your hormones and oil production in your skin. It can also get rid of nasty parasites that help to aggravate acne and even cause it!

One of the best ways to give yourself a "clean out" is via specific types of fasting.

Would you like to learn about a 3 day diet plan that has cured thousands of people around the world of acne?

It's considered one of the best internal cleansing methods and also one of the easiest. It's called: Acne Free in 3 Days.
